Marcin Świderski - sax, flute, acordeon, clarinet
Marcin Świderski "Świder" -
saxophonist,
flutist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and pedagogue. He has graduated from
the Warsaw Academy of Music where he studied in the Instrumental Studies &
Musical Education department in the saxophone unit. Apart from jazz music
Marcin is a classical and contemporary music performer. He works with the
Warsaw Saxophone Quartet, symphony orchestras and big bands. In 2000 he founded
the Enigmatik Quartet group, which composes and performs its own music inspired
with Polish folk. Keen on Latin American music, he is a co-founder of several
groups such as: Noche de Boleros and Carnival. As a flutist he
is a member of the ‘Son the Cuba' group, which performs traditional Cuban
music. He also plays in Namaste, Kosmoton, and many other
groups. Sacral music composer. In 2001 awarded a prize for a six-voice acapella
choir composition called "Kyrie Deus Genitor Alme". Composes theatre music.
Fascinated with electronical and club music; experiments with the sounds of
acoustic instruments. Together with many DJs Marcin performs unique live
acts. Now, together with Magda Navarrete they work preparing next boleros album, mixing old bolero vinyls with electronics.
